Beginning bridge lessons will start this month. The morning class will begin on Saturday, January 9th at 9:00 a.m. and the evening class will begin on Wednesday, January 13th at 7:00 p.m. Beginners are treated to five weeks of FREE lessons, followed by five more weeks at $60. After the first five weeks we offer an additional 5-course to get you through the basics of bridge at $60.
For the intermediate:
We have two intermediate on-going courses on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9 a.m. The classes cover competitive bidding, taking more tricks and winning defense strategy. No need to reserve! Just come and try a class out. Each interactive class is followed by a short duplicate game. The cost for each lesson is $8. Rick Covalciuc and Steve Linehan, instructors.
For the advanced:
Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. The class goes into more sophisticated conventions and ways of handling declarer play and defense. Each class includes a handout and a short duplicate game. The cost for each lesson is $8, with no reservations required. Val Covalciuc, instructor.
Two Over One Game Force
Find out why this system is so popular with rising players. Join Val Covalciuc for this class in a six-week format starting January 16th at 9:00 a.m.. The class will cover the forcing 1NT, major and minor suit raises, the 2/1 auction, the 1/1 auction and the subsequent auction. It is a must for anyone interested in knowing more about this bidding structure. The cost for the class is $90.00.
More Killer Defense
Rita Gilliland will offer this class on Wednesdays in February. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on February 3rd, the four-week class will cover how to make your trump cards work on defense, when to lead trumps, how to execute the forcing game and pulling off an uppercut. The cost for the class is $60.00, materials included.
